Lemon and Lime Wellness Drink 🍋🍈
This refreshing Lemon and Lime Wellness Drink combines fresh citrus juice, water, ginger, and a touch of honey. It’s bright, tangy, and easy to prepare—perfect as a refreshing morning or afternoon drink.
Ingredients
- 1 fresh lemon
- 1 fresh lime
- 2 cups (480 ml) cold or warm water
- 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
- 1–2 teaspoons honey, optional
- 4–5 fresh mint leaves, optional
- Ice cubes, optional
Directions
1. Prepare the Citrus
Wash the lemon and lime thoroughly.
Cut both fruits in half and squeeze the juice into a glass or pitcher.
Remove any seeds.
2. Add the Ginger
Add the freshly grated ginger.
If you prefer a milder ginger flavor, start with ½ teaspoon.
3. Add Water
Pour in the water and stir thoroughly.
For a warm drink, use warm—not boiling—water.
For a refreshing cold drink, use chilled water.
4. Sweeten
Add 1–2 teaspoons of honey if desired.
Stir until completely dissolved.
You can leave out the honey if you prefer a sugar-free drink.
5. Add Mint
Gently crush or bruise the mint leaves between your fingers before adding them.
This releases their natural aroma.
6. Chill and Serve
Add ice cubes if desired.
Let the drink sit for 5–10 minutes so the ginger and mint can infuse.
Stir once more and serve fresh.
