Avocado Toast

Ingredients
- 2 slices whole-grain or sourdough bread
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon or lime juice
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes — optional
- 1 tsp olive oil — optional

1. Toast the Bread
Toast the bread until golden brown and crispy.
For extra flavor, brush it lightly with olive oil before toasting.
2. Prepare the Avocado
Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit.
Scoop the flesh into a bowl.
Add lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
Mash with a fork until creamy but still slightly chunky.
Tip: Don’t over-mash if you prefer some texture.
3. Assemble the Toast
Spread the mashed avocado generously over the warm toast.
Drizzle with a little olive oil if desired.
Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and your favorite seasonings.
