3-Minute Fudge Recipe
This 3-Minute Fudge is one of the quickest homemade desserts you can make. It’s rich, creamy, chocolatey, and requires just a few simple ingredients. Perfect when you need a sweet treat in a hurry!
Ingredients
- 3 cups chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans, optional
Directions
- Prepare the pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some paper hanging over the sides.
- Combine the ingredients: Place the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a large microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave: Heat on HIGH for 1 minute. Remove and stir thoroughly. Continue heating in 15–20 second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. This usually takes about 2 minutes total, depending on your microwave.
- Add flavor: Stir in the vanilla extract and salt. If using nuts, fold them in now.
- Spread: Immediately pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Set: Refrigerate for 1–2 hours, or until firm enough to cut.
- Cut and serve: Lift the fudge out using the parchment paper and cut it into small squares.
Helpful Tips
- Don’t overheat the chocolate; excessive heat can make the fudge grainy.
- Stir thoroughly between microwave intervals for a smooth texture.
- Use good-quality chocolate chips for the richest flavor.
- For mint fudge, add ½–1 teaspoon peppermint extract instead of vanilla.
- For extra chocolate flavor, use a mixture of semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips.
