Cranberry Orange Honey Fudge is a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth treat with the perfect balance of sweet honey, bright orange, and tart dried cranberries. Itβs easy to make, beautifully festive, and wonderful for holiday dessert trays, homemade gifts, or whenever you want a little something special.
Ingredients
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz / 396 g) sweetened condensed milk
- ΒΌ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
- Β½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ΒΎ cup dried cranberries
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Pan
Line an 8Γ8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some paper hanging over the sides. Lightly grease the parchment to make the fudge easier to remove.
2. Melt the Fudge Mixture
Add the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, honey, and butter to a medium saucepan.
Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate and butter have melted and the mixture is smooth.
Be careful not to overheat the mixture, as white chocolate can scorch easily.
3. Add the Orange Flavor
Remove the saucepan from the heat.
Stir in the orange zest, orange juice, vanilla extract, and a small pinch of salt.
Mix until everything is smooth and well combined.
4. Add the Cranberries
Fold in the dried cranberries, reserving a small handful to sprinkle over the top if desired.
5. Pour Into the Pan
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan.
Use a spatula to spread it evenly and smooth the surface. Sprinkle the remaining cranberries over the top and gently press them into the fudge.
6. Chill
Refrigerate for 3β4 hours, or until the fudge is completely firm.
For the best texture, you can refrigerate it overnight.
7. Cut and Serve
Lift the chilled fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper.
Cut into small squares with a sharp knife. For cleaner cuts, wipe the knife between slices.
Tips for Perfect Fudge
- Use low heat: White chocolate can burn quickly, so keep the temperature low.
- Don’t skip the orange zest: It gives the fudge a much stronger natural orange flavor than juice alone.
- Chill thoroughly: Allow plenty of time for the fudge to set before cutting.
- Use good-quality white chocolate: It melts more smoothly and gives the fudge a creamier texture.
- For softer fudge: Let it sit at room temperature for several minutes before serving.
Easy Variations
Add Nuts
Fold in Β½ cup chopped pecans, walnuts, or pistachios along with the cranberries.
Make It Extra Orange
Add another teaspoon of finely grated orange zest for a more intense citrus flavor.
Add Coconut
Mix in Β½ cup shredded coconut for a tropical twist.
Chocolate Drizzle
Once the fudge has set, drizzle melted white or dark chocolate over the top and allow it to harden before cutting.
Storage
Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1β2 weeks.
For longer storage, freeze the fudge in a well-sealed freezer-safe container for up to 2 months. Thaw it in the refrigerator before serving.
The combination of creamy white chocolate, floral honey, bright orange, and tart cranberries makes every bite sweet, citrusy, and wonderfully festive. ππβ¨
