These 4-Ingredient Slow Cooker Pork Riblets are an effortless dinner when you want tender, flavorful pork without spending hours in the kitchen. The riblets slowly cook until juicy and tender, then get coated in a sweet and tangy barbecue glaze.
Ingredients
- 2½–3 pounds pork riblets
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
1. Prepare the Riblets
Pat the pork riblets dry with paper towels. If they are in a large rack, cut them into smaller sections so they fit comfortably in the slow cooker.
2. Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
Reserve about ½ cup of the sauce for brushing on the riblets later.
3. Slow Cook
Place the riblets in the slow cooker and pour the remaining sauce over them. Turn the riblets gently to coat them.
Cover and cook on:
- LOW: 6–7 hours
- HIGH: 3–4 hours
The riblets should be very tender when finished.
4. Add Extra Sauce
Carefully remove the cooked riblets from the slow cooker and place them on a foil-lined baking sheet.
Brush generously with the reserved barbecue sauce.
For a caramelized finish, place them under a broiler for 2–4 minutes, watching closely so the sauce doesn’t burn.
5. Serve
Let the riblets rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve with coleslaw, baked beans, mashed potatoes, corn, or warm dinner rolls.
Tips for the Best Riblets
- Don’t overcrowd the slow cooker. Arrange the riblets in an even layer when possible.
- Use your favorite barbecue sauce. A smoky, sweet, or spicy sauce will all work well.
- Broiling is optional but recommended. It creates a sticky, caramelized exterior that makes the riblets especially delicious.
- Be gentle when removing them. Once fully cooked, the meat can be very tender and may fall apart.
- Check for doneness: Pork should reach a safe internal temperature of at least 145°F (63°C), followed by a brief rest.
Storage
Store leftover riblets in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days. Reheat gently in the oven, air fryer, or microwave.
