Creamy Dragon Fruit Drink Recipe
A beautiful, refreshing drink made with sweet dragon fruit, creamy milk, and a touch of honey. It’s naturally vibrant, lightly sweet, and perfect for a hot day or as a delicious breakfast drink.
Ingredients
- 1 cup ripe dragon fruit, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup cold milk
- ½ cup ice cubes
- 2 tablespoons condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon honey or sugar, optional
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2–3 tablespoons heavy cream or coconut cream
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds, optional
- Dragon fruit slices, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the dragon fruit: Peel the dragon fruit and cut it into small cubes. For the prettiest color, use pink or red-fleshed dragon fruit.
- Blend: Add the dragon fruit, cold milk, condensed milk, honey, vanilla extract, heavy cream, and ice cubes to a blender.
- Blend until creamy: Blend for 30–60 seconds, until completely smooth and creamy. Taste and add a little more honey or condensed milk if you prefer it sweeter.
- Add chia seeds: If using chia seeds, stir them into the drink after blending. Let the drink sit for about 5 minutes so they can soften slightly.
- Serve: Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with a small slice of dragon fruit. Serve immediately.
Tips for the Best Drink
- Use cold, ripe dragon fruit for the best flavor and color.
- Coconut milk can be substituted for regular milk for a tropical twist.
- For an extra-thick smoothie, freeze the dragon fruit cubes before blending.
- Add a squeeze of lime juice for a refreshing sweet-and-tangy flavor.
- For a dairy-free version, use coconut milk and coconut cream.
