Sugar-Free Energy Dessert
A creamy, satisfying treat made without added sugar and packed with wholesome ingredients. This easy dessert is naturally sweetened and can be prepared ahead of time for a quick snack when you want something sweet.

- 1 cup rolled oats
- Β½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- Β½ cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
- ΒΌ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ΒΌ cup chopped walnuts or almonds
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ΒΌ teaspoon salt
- 3β4 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk or regular milk
- 2 tablespoons mashed ripe banana or unsweetened applesauce, optional
- Unsweetened coconut flakes or crushed nuts, for coating

1. Combine the Dry Ingredients
Add the rolled oats, shredded coconut, cocoa powder, chopped nuts, chia seeds, and salt to a large bowl.
Stir until evenly combined.
2. Add the Wet Ingredients
Add the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and mashed banana or applesauce if using.
Mix thoroughly until the ingredients begin to form a sticky mixture.
3. Adjust the Texture
Add the milk one tablespoon at a time, mixing after each addition.
The mixture should be moist enough to hold together when pressed but not wet or runny.
4. Shape the Dessert
Scoop out approximately 1 tablespoon of the mixture at a time.
Roll into small balls using your hands.
Alternatively, press the mixture firmly into a parchment-lined container and cut it into small squares once chilled.
5. Chill
Place the energy bites or squares in the refrigerator for at least 30β60 minutes to firm up.

- Use natural peanut butter without added sugar if you want to keep the recipe completely free of added sugar.
- Choose unsweetened cocoa powder and unsweetened coconut.
- If you want a sweeter taste without adding sugar, a small amount of stevia or monk fruit sweetener can be added according to the product’s instructions.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- These can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
